With Thai massage practitioner Frank Hughes
Check back for future dates.
Do you want to improve your circulation and relieve stress?
Do you spend all day on your feet?
Are you interested in learning to be a foot massage pro?
Our favorite Thai massage practitioner, Frank Hughes, returns to New Leaf to show us how to relieve our tired feet with massage.
Bring a friend or a loved one and learn how to give the gift of a great foot massage.
Frank will demonstrate simple techniques for giving great short foot massages. We’ll give our feet a quick wipe down, and then dive into learning more about:
- Pressure points that translate throughout the body,
- The muscles and connective tissues of the foot,
- Proper positioning,
- Thai massage techniques for the muscles of the foot and lower leg, and
- A variety of massage techniques that are great for the feet using thumbs, fingers and the whole hand.
Regular foot massage is believed to improve circulation, relieve stress, help with fluid retention (such as during pregnancy or from prolonged standing), and help avoid foot injury such as plantar fasciitis. An added benefit: we’ll leave this workshop feeling rejuvenated and de-stressed!
Each guest should please bring a clean hand-towel from home. Unscented or naturally-scented massage butter will be provided and may be used at your option. This workshop is not intended for massage professionals.
Space is limited so please register in advance using the form below.
There are no open enrollments right now, please check back in the future.
